Sweet Baby J...

...And I mean SWEET!!! He is so adorable I could just smother him in hugs and sugars. He smiled from the time he came in my door until the time he went out. Just the perfect little gentleman he was. We had a nice little 30 minute rest waiting for our light to return from the quick little thunderstorm and Baby J got a little power nap. We laid him into position and as soon as we did he woke up with a huge grin. What a ham!!! I had a super hard time picking just a few for this teeny tiny peek, and you all know me with my black and whites, but I posted this entire peek in color. I cannot resist his gorgeous baby blues. So here is just a tiny peek for Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Kim. As always you have oodles upon oodles more coming very soon. Enjoy!!!

Oh my goodness!!! I don't know about y'all but the weather the last two days has spoiled me big time. What a perfect afternoon this was for a session. I had an adorable little birthday girl and her handsome big brother come to visit me. This is not the first time I've had the pleasure of photographing these two. They came to see me about this same time last year. Our last session was just a breeze and today was no different. We rolled in the grass, threw rocks in a creek (and got a little wet), and even had a little birthday cake (the perfect ending to a perfect session if you ask me). Here is just a little peek, and as always there are many more where these came from. L...I hope C got to play his PlayStation for being such a good little man. If he didn't you send him my way and we'll play. Enjoy!!!

Holiday minis rescheduled...

It just occurred to me today that November 1st is race day. We all know that in Talladega there is no way mini-sessions will happen on race weekend. I will be blogging new details very soon along with a new date and possibly a different location. For those of you that have already booked I will contact you with details. This does mean that November 1st is back on the market. Contact me if you are interested in this day.

I had a very handsome senior come visit me this afternoon...I mean seriously...can you say G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S?!?! A little birdy told me that he was not looking forward to being photographed today, but you could have fooled me, he did amazing! We literally flew through every location, and even got to have a little fun on the green (special thanks to the folks at Timber Ridge for letting us use their gorgeous golf course). Claudette held out just long enough for us this afternoon allowing us ample time to finish this awesome session, she even sent us a few nice breezes. As soon as I closed my car door after our last location it started to rain. Just in time!!! "T" you were awesome! I could not have asked for a more perfect candidate for my first senior guy!!! Sorry you had to miss out on the golf tournament this afternoon but hopefully after this peek you'll see it was all worth it. This is just little tease until the rest are ready. As have soooo many more to come. Enjoy!!!

I had a super adorable senior come to visit me this afternoon, along with her bright green eyes, gorgeous red hair, and the most awesome pair of shoes I've ever seen. I knew when I saw them we were going to have fun, and that we did. We explored every corner of Talladega. We danced on an abandoned bridge, had a seat in my favorite alley, and finished off in the peace and quiet of the country. K...hope you got your Taco Bell, and I hope you guys had a safe drive back home. As always this is just a teeny peek. You have many, many more to follow soon. Enjoy!!!

Holiday mini-sessions...

We have had a ton of requests for holiday mini-sessions, so lets start scheduling them now. Our first set will be November 1st at The Old Mill in Waldo. Sessions will be scheduled 30 minutes apart and will start at 3pm. There will not be any quirky Christmas set-up and we promise not to make you wear matching reindeer sweaters with Santa hats. As always, MaddieBug wants you to be yourself in a completely natural setting. We will have all of our Christmas cards there for you to take a few minutes and select which design best fits your family. We will also have a cup of apple cider and a cookie for you while you are picking your card and package. The session fee is just $40 and covers up to 6 family members. This must be paid in full at the time of booking to secure your spot. Packages start at $100 and they all include 25 cards, of which are all designed by the Photographer, and envelopes. You will purchase your package at the time of your session. MaddieBug's cards are not printed on boring photo paper. They are printed as 5x7s on your choice of professional linen card stock. We will have several designs for you to choose from. Space is limited and will fill up quickly. You don't want to miss out! Contact us today ( to schedule your holiday mini-session.

Ok...this will probably be the biggest sneak peek in MaddieBug history. That's only because there are only a gazillion pictures to chose my favorites from and we had 2 seperate sessions today. We met earlier this afternoon at this gorgeous family's beautiful home and then again this evening for some outdoor fun, and we even got a little cozy in a flooded creek for some Mommy and Daddy only shots. I was chased out of the water by a mutant horse fly and I'm sure he swarmed all over me for a good minute and a half. It was not funny at the moment but it is now. I'm sure it was amusing. B thank you for being such a good sport...I know you were freezing. T you were awesome and I hope you cooked him a really good dinner for getting in the water for us. Little Miss P could not have been any cuter. She is an absolute doll!!! Even my Mom said so when we spoke tonight. I'm sure P gave her a cute little grin while she visited. Special thanks to Mimi for being such a huge help and thanks to all of you for making me feel so welcomed in your home. Let's hop to it...I know you guys cannot wait! I can't wait any longer either. Here is your huge but tiniest little peek. As have MANY, MANY, MANY more to soon follow. Enjoy!!!

So, so sorry for the wait on this. I returned home from meeting with you guys only to find we had no power, and did not have any until 7 o'clock this morning. So here I am, sleep deprived and running behind, but super excited for you to see these super cute shots we got. I could not have asked for a calmer, more adorable baby boy. I love 6 month olds!!! They are so curious about what's going on around them and giggle at any face you throw their way. This little guy was so happy and I am not kidding when I say that he did not cry, not one single time. Just a dream!!! I want to thank The Freeman's again for such a perfectly gorgeous location. Absolute perfection for this little guy. I have got to cut this one short to prepare for my afternoon with another beautiful family and another adorable 6 month old. Like always...this is just a tiny peek and there are tons more to come. Enjoy!!!
