5.1.09

Oh my goodness...where do I start? I so love these two. We had so, so, so much fun. We drove around here and there and literally everywhere. We found ourselves in dark alleyways just big enough to stand in, which made for some awesome shots. We even rode on a merry-go-round...and let me tell you...I never remember feeling sick on those things when I was a rambunctious kiddo, but now, whew, and trying to stand steady enough to get a decent shot, lets just say I now know what major motion sickness feels like. But it was so totally worth the spinning, and upside down tummy, because we got some stellar shots on it. I cannot wait for the wedding which will not be until 2010. They are being very smart and finishing college first. Ok...so, I could go on for days about how amazing this session was and how gorgeous this newly engaged couple is but I cannot wait to show off these rockin' shots, and I know these two love birds are anxiously waiting as well. I really had a tough time picking which ones I wanted to show for the sneak peek. So B&J you better get ready because you have a ton more on the way.

Lil' chunky monkey...

Is this not the cutest gosh darn baby you have ever seen?!?! I guess you could say she was my very first client. I photographed her when she was still in Mommy's belly, then when she arrived and now here she is almost 8 months old, and cute as a button. I am so thankful to be given the opportunity to watch this little cutie grow up. She was so precious today!!! She did not cry at all unless we took her bow out of her hair. But she knew she was adorable with it and she insisted on it back. So I know Mommy and Daddy can't wait to see a few of the loads of pictures we got today, so lets get to it. And I'm sure by now you know the routine. There are so many more for you to see.

4.18.09

I had the most fabulous session today. This beautiful mommy, daddy, and big brother to be are amazing. They have so much love for each other you can feel it. Mommy has the most perfect baby bump ever, and little miss C was extra active today. We saw feet, fingers and her little round bottom. I cannot wait to meet the newest addition to this beautiful family. She will be arriving any day so keep a check back to get a quick peek at this new little bundle. But for now, while we all anxiously await the arrival of little Miss C, here is a little peek for Mommy and Daddy. These are only a few of my favorites. You have lots more to come!!!

Sun, and hiking, and cold water, oh my!!!

Ok, so you may recognize this beautiful senior from a few weeks ago. Remember I said that we weren't done, well, we finally finished today. Let me just tell you the story. I had this fantastic idea that we could go to High Falls which is about 35 minutes out of the county. I just knew we were going to get shots galore at these gorgeous waterfalls. Sounds fascinating huh? Well, the hike up to these falls was not as easy as I remember it being about 8 years ago. When you get to the water you have to cross a small brook to continue on the beaten path to these magnificent falls. Well it seems that every time I have ever had to cross rocks and water I always break flip flop. Yep you heard me right, I wore flip flops hiking. But remember I said I thought this was going to be an easy hike. So I had to leave my shoes at the bottom of this mountain and hike the rest of the way barefoot with my heavy camera bag over my shoulder and holding my reflector bag in my hand. It was OK on the way up because my feet were numb from being frozen solid by the below freezing water flowing off this mountain. So after this strenuous hike to the top the sun was beaming down through the trees overhead and we got sunspots no matter where we sat. Eventually I found a nice little rock and a tree just across the trail to hang my reflector from, and viola, instant shade. So we hiked back down the mountain to the trail head below only to find that what seemed to be a nice little walk up to the mountain is not covered with rocks beneath my tender feet. So I walked about 1/2 mile to my vehicle with one shoe on and tip-toeing with the other.

Needless to say...I don't think I will be going back out to high falls. But even after treading freezing water, breaking my favorite flip flops, and hiking until I could not breath, we still managed to get a couple of fabulous shots. I promised her I would have a tiny peek for her. Enjoy these photos folks because you won't be seeing any more from me at this location.

Also make sure to check back tomorrow night. I will have a sneak peek from a session with a beautiful Mommy, Daddy, and Big brother to be.

Singing in the rain...

That's all I kept hearing in my head during this session. It rained off and on all afternoon. We'd feel it coming and would all hop in the back of my Tahoe and wait it out. But what a fun session. Miss C is the girl next door. Soft spoken, sweet, funny, dimples, stunning eyes and terrified of bugs. She had us laughing so hard at her swatting and running from bugs. Her brother was "driving Miss Daisy." He drove her so she could change wardrobe from one location to another. He is the next Napolean Dynamite. He can talk just like him, so he made us not even notice the gloomy, wet day with his Napolean impersonation. Her prom was just a few nights before the session so she wanted to incorporate her super duper cute prom shoes. She has without question earned my respect for walking in 6 inch heels. I would break my neck.

So, let's get to it. I know she is crazy anxious waiting for this little peak. These are only a few. There are oodles and oodles more for her to see.
